Beginners
New to mountain biking; limited or no experience on a mountain bike; Comfortable riding 2-wheels..
Can ride with long breaks for 2 hours at a time.
The beginner level focuses on the foundational skills of biking/mountain biking – body position, braking, and shifting.
Fairly experienced with mountain biking; has ridden mountain bike trails regularly.

In addition to covering foundational skills, the intermediate/advanced level teaches the more advanced skills of reading the trail, cornering, and wheel lifts.
At KC&E Adventures, we offer two distinct camp styles to cater to your riding preferences and skill level.
Our Mountain Bike Style camps incorporate singletrack trails and offer opportunities for more Advanced riders. All of our camps provide a comprehensive understanding of riding and handling a bike, which can be applied to neighborhood, bike path, or trail.

Our Massachusetts camp is held at Russell Mill Pond and Forest in the Town of Chelmsford and offers a variety of riding surfaces, including a pump track! Morning skill sessions will be held in the park fields and then riders will explore the beautiful singletrack, which is maintained in part by the Merrimack Valley NEMBA chapter. The expansive singletrack offers the ability to cater to riders from Beginner through Advanced.

This camp will launch each day from the Newtown Bicycle Playground, a park dedicated to teaching young riders bike skills on its specialized equipment and features. After the morning skill session, participants will apply their learnings while exploring the Fairfield Hills bike path and trails at the Deep Brook Preserve. The diversity of terrain supports both Beginner and Intermediate riders and will provide a fun and engaging environment for building confidence on the bike!

Taking place in the beautiful meadow trails of Lake Windwing and singletrack of Hemlock Hills, the Ridgefield location is supportive for Beginners and challenging enough for the most Advanced young mountain bikers. Campers are always motivated to sharpen their skills each morning during skill sesh so they can then explore the mystical trail of Narnia, where the wispy plants and trees canopying the trail make riders feel like they’ve stumbled upon a secret, magical MTB fantasy.

Nothing says outdoor adventure like a ski mountain! Mohawk Mountain provides a picturesque backdrop for riders to gain skills and confidence traversing varied surfaces and terrain. Morning skill sessions will take place at the base of Pine Lodge and application rides will explore the lower portions of the mountain on gravel, dirt, and grass paths. This camp is geared towards Beginner and Intermediate riders and will build the foundational skills needed for more advanced trails.
