Kingdom Trails Travel Guide

Apr 27, 2022

The trails are world-class and the scenery is beautiful, but what else should you plan to do when you head to Kingdom Trails?

We’ve put together our favorite places to indulge your senses and keep the family busy when you’re not out on the trails.

Food and Drinks

Dirt Church Brewery: Located less than 10 minutes away from Kingdom Trails, Dirt Church is the place to be if you are in search of a local craft brew. Along with serving some of the best beer around, Dirt Church also hosts live music, events, and offers specials throughout the week.

Trenchers Farmhouse: Experience authentic Italian gastronomy in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom. Hailing from Italy, the Vascotto’s have brought their love of fresh ingredients and sustainability to VT. Pick up fresh pasta, sauces, desserts, and more daily from the farm.

Clementine’s Creamery: Maple creemee anyone? Located in the heart of East Burke, ride right up to the window to treat yourself to some authentic VT ice cream.

Juniper’s at the Wildflower: With high-quality, local ingredients and an extensive gluten-free menu, there’s something for everyone at Juniper’s! What makes it even better is that it’s right off the trails with an impressive view of the mountains. Reservations are welcome to ensure a table for your party.

Family Activities

Great Vermont Corn Maze: With 24 acres of corn, the largest corn maze in New England will surely entertain the family. Opening July 30th, this is a perfect late summer and fall activity that’s only 25 minutes from East Burke.

Fairbanks Museum: If you find yourself in East Burke on a rainy day, head to the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium. Filled with natural history, exploration stations, and exhibits such as the Butterfly House, the museum has something for the entire family.

Crystal Lake State Park: Looking for a spot to cool off and explore? Crystal Lake has a sandy beach with a marked swimming area and picnic tables for you to enjoy. Explore the lake by stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, or canoes that you can rent directly from the park.
